National Record Search

Scope

The National Criminal Record Search (the “Search Database”) offered through this site includes criminal record information compiled from all U.S. states, territories and the District of Columbia, EXCEPT for North Carolina.

Sources

The criminal record information included in your search will come from at least one of the following non-North Carolina sources: county courts, state corrections and the Sex Offender Index.

Intended Use

The Search Database is not intended from use as a standalone search tool. It should be used only in conjunction with an additional, broader county or statewide criminal history search. It is your sole responsibility to consult all applicable state and federal laws, rules and regulations, including without limitation, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, in connection with your use of information obtained from the Search Database. NCID, Inc. is not liable from any loss or damage arising or relating to any use of the information obtained through the Search Database.

The Search Database may produce results with or without certain common identifiers. As such, it is possible that the records produced through the Search Database may not apply to the name submitted. Because misidentifications may occur in identifying a particular individual, users should exercise extreme caution in the review and use of the information obtained through the Search Database. We recommend that you always supplement information obtained from the Search Database with original documentation from the applicable jurisdiction. Further, it is your sole responsibility to investigate any and all claims that records obtained in the Search Database are not those of the intended individual.
